Ernest H. Ramey, 66 years, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Ernest Lee Ramey and Helen Irene (Pool) Ramey. Ernie was raised in the Wichita, Kansas area.

Ernie acquired his love for racing and mechanics from his dad. Ernie was an exceptional mechanic on all types of automotive, motorcycles, trucks, mowers, and even trains, large or small motors he did them all. He and the family built the motors and race cars then you would find them at 81 Speedway on Saturdays or any event that was happening you would see Car 60. If the family wasn't racing then you may find them on his pontoon boat, camping and just having great times.  His other deep love was his family.

He was preceded in death by his son Johnathan, parents Ernest and Helen, and sister Clara Diane.

Ernie is survived by his daughter Jennifer Ramey and husband Ronnie Breese of Wichita, Kansas, searching for daughter Michelle Lynn Ramey; grandson Kaydence Makiah Breese of Wichita; brothers Jerry Ramey, Albert (Shelly) Ramey, sisters Mabel (Duane) Pfannenstiel and Rose Hemenway, all of Wichita; uncle Howard Pool of Wichita; 4 nieces, 9 nephews, several great nieces and nephews, many other family and friends.

A Celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m., May 1, at the Ramey Ranch.  In lieu of flowers, please come and share in the family time.
