HUTCHINSON, KS

ERNEST LEROY MINOR, 67, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019 in Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born in Ft. Scott, Kansas to Charles LeRoy Minor and Jewel Aline (Sweptson) Minor.  His career included working for Bortons and the City of Hutchinson. He served in the U.S. Army 1970 - 1979 and was a Veteran of Vietnam War Era. He also served in the National Guard. Ernest enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar and Elvis Presley. He had a kind and caring soul, a father and mentor to many.

He is survived by his wife Diana; daughters Juanita (Kris) Strod of New Mexico, Misty Capps and Kimberly Padilla of Hutchinson; sons Joe Minor of Oklahoma and Robert Minor of Hutchinson, 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; many other family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Brittany Strode, brother Robert Minor; sisters Terrie, Ritha Ottendorf, Betty Christine King.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in his memory to 914 S.Walnut, Hutchinson, Ks 67501 or received at the Celebration of Life which will be held at HiRise Communiy Room in S. Hutchinson, Ks  11 to 5, November 16, 2019.
