ERMA LAVERIN (WILCH) BOWHAY - ZIMMERMANN, 94, beloved mom, grandma, aunt and friend, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born in Richland, Shawnee County, Kansas to Henry Dewy Wilch and Edna Marie (Hupp) Wilch. After graduation she attended college, then began working as a telephone operator. She then went to work as a U.S. Postal Worker where she went on to retire. She loved working at the Ozark Health Hospital Auxiliary in Clinton, Arkansas, quilting and listening to the music of Daniel O'Donnell. LaVerin is survived by her children Harold (Betty) Bowhay of Andale, TaMyra (Jim) Kern of Park City, Sue Kern of Park City, Jerry (Cheryl) Bowhay of Park City, Terry Bradley of Fairfield Bay, AR; 19 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is preceded by her husbands LaZerne Bowhay and Howard Zimmermann, parents Henry and Marie Edna Wilch, brother Herb Wilch, sister Lucille Heise and Jonathan Bradley.

Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 9, at Via Christi Village Chapel, 3636 N. Ridge Rd. Bldg 400, Wichita, Kansas. Graveside will be at the Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
