Era Louise "Tita" Campbell
, daughter of David Gast Howard and Emma Agnes (Gray) Howard, was born in El Paso, Texas on April 26, 1925. At the age of 3, her family moved to Mexico where she grew to adulthood. She received secretarial training in Mexico and worked as a secretary in Mexico City for some time. On April 9, 1949, she was married to Herbert David "Dave" Campbell at her parent's home in Mexico City. Tita also lived in Canada, Venezuela, and Colombia before returning to the United States in 1956 and settling in Beverly, KS. Tita and Dave were the parents of two children, Susan and Robert. Tita and Dave divorced in 1982. Tita moved to Wichita in 2004. Tita was an antique dealer and collector, specializing in Depression Glass. In later years, she enjoyed playing Bingo and arranging flowers for shut-ins and nursing homes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Gast Howard, Jr. who died in Mexico City, Mexico. Left to mourn her passing are children - Susan (Mark) Will of Wichita, KS, Robert (Angela) Campbell of Salina, KS; Grandchildren – Matthew Will, Lexi Will, Cody Campbell, and Ashley Campbell, nieces and nephews in Mexico and numerous friends.
