Obituary

EMMETT WILLIAM HICKOK, 87, went home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2016. He was born on September 3,1929 in Pond Creek, Oklahoma to James and Maggie (Garbison) Hickok. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Carl, Everett, and Cecil, his son-in-law Ronald Hugle, and by his son Gene and his daughter Jan. Emmett is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alta, daughter Sharon (Joe) Bishop, daughter-in-law Donna Hickok, brother Robert (Judy) Hickok, and sister Ada Mae Mott, as well as his grandchildren Kim Hugle, Melissa (Ronnie) Williams, Jason (Ice) Hickok, Jamie (Andrew) Leopold, and great grandchildren Sienna and Emmett Leopold and Jonathan Hugle.
Emmett loved the Lord Jesus, and for many years worked as a postal clerk in Wichita, and in later years delivered for Moore Flowers.
Visitation 5-7 p.m., Monday, October 17 and Services 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 18, both held at First United Methodist Church of Valley Center.
In lieu of flowers to family, please designated any memorials in his honor to First United Methodist Church, 560 N. Park, Valley Center, Ks 67147.
