Edwin Leroy Holle, 88, retired of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on August 27, 2025.  Edwin (Ed) was born to Clarence "Shorty" Edwin Holle and H. Nadine (Cooney) Holle on September 29th, 1936, in Eddy, OK.  After attending Lamont High School, Ed proudly served in the U.S. Army for several years.

Ed built a long career as a skilled diesel mechanic retiring from USF Dugan after many dedicated years of service. He spent his retirement enjoying two of his favorite pastimes – bowling and playing the slot machines at the casino.

A devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ed is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Linda; his sister, Noela Kirkland; his children Michael (Mike) (Leeah), Steven (Scott) (Michelle), Angela, and Amy (Troy); 13 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lynn McQuitty.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center, KS.  Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of his life.

He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his easygoing nature, and the joy he brought to those around him. Ed will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
