Edwin L. Foiles 81 passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Newton MedicalCenter. He was born April 28, 1933 in Hoisington, KS to Edward and Ruth Foileswho precedes him indeath.  Survivors include his wife Norma (Barton) Foiles of Newton, KS; one sonSteven and wife Rose Foiles also of Newton, KS; one daughter Joyce and husbandBrad Rodenberg of Halstead, KS; One brother Ronald Foiles of Holyrood, KS;two sisters Opal Queen of Colorado Springs, CO and Virginia Heath of NorthNewton, KS; three grandsons David and Daniel Rodenberg of Halstead, KS andTerry Rodenberg of Kansas City, MO; two granddaughters Samantha McKinneyof Hesston, KS and Brandy McKinney of Springfield, MO; fivegreat-grandsons Dakota, Kristopher, Tyler, Noah Rodenberg and Bryce Kelly and threegreat- granddaughters Shayla McIntosh, Micaela Prewitt and OliviaMcKinney.  He was preceded in death by one brother Lawrence Foiles; two sistersGoldie Foskett and Verna Rice (Foiles); and one daughter Linda ReneeFoiles.  He proudly served in the Navy for nine years one month and twenty-nine days.He retired from Newton High School after several years of working as anight custodian known best by staff and students as Mr.Ed.
