VALLEY CENTER, KANSAS

EDWARD CHARLES REFFNER , 83, entered into rest on Friday, November 3, 2017. He was born in rural Harvey County, Kansas to George William Reffner and Helen (Hughes) Reffner. He attended Valley Schools and graduated from Valley Center High School in 1952. Ed worked and retired from KG&E after 40 years of service. He was an avid golfer and loved the game. While raising his family he coached little league baseball, football and refereed. He was a man of integrity. Ed was a good husband, father and grandfather whom loved his family deeply. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carol Reffner; children Steve Reffner, Dianna (James) Wirths and Sheri Doolen; grandchildren, Jason Reffner, Jarod Reffner, Lisa Clubb, Sarah Torrance, Doug Doolen and Greg Doolen; step grandchildren, Mike Wirths and Renee Frisk; 11 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren; sister Kay Anderson and brother George Reffner; many other family and friends. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 7; Service 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 8, both held at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Graveside following the service at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Bentley.
