Gibson, Edson "Lee"
, 88, retired Lee's Barbershop owner, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. He was born in Caldwell, Kansas to Walter Edson Gibson and Grace Pearl (Posey) Gibson. Lee served in the U.S. Navy and was a World War II Veteran. He was able to experience the Kansas Honor Flight in honor of his service. On April 28, 1951, he married the love of his life, Barbara A. Corzine. Lee worked for Cessna Aircraft and retired from Boeing Aircraft. He enjoyed his family and the time he spent with them. He was a long time member of Valley Center Lifepoint Church. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Barbara; children John Gibson of Hillsboro, Karen (Sam) Camacho of Sedgwick, Linda (Stephen) Davis of Newton; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; brother Estel Gibson of Wichita; sister Beulah Hunszeker of Scottsbluff, NE; brother-in-law Roy E. Corzine and sister-in-law Thelma Corzine; Linda Magneson and Esperanza Montford who adopted him as father; many nephews, nieces, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Grace Gibson, father Edson Gibson and stepmom Vida Gibson, sister Evelyn Kirkpatrick, brothers Kenneth, Wilbur, Floyd and Frank Gibson, nephew Artie Gibson.
Service
s will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, September 12 at Lifepoint Church, 400 S. Abilene, Valley Center, Kansas.
Graveside
will be 3 p.m. at Caldwell Cemetery, Caldwell, Kansas. In lieu of flowers,
