Edna Marie (Wyant) Phillips, 88, retired City of Wichita Building Permit Clerk, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014. Edna was born in Springfield, Missouri on August 12, 1926 to Charles B. Wyant and Julia Leroy (Terhune) Wyant. She was the second of four children. Edna's mother passed away of T.B. when she was 12 years old and her father left the children to be raised by her grandparents. On April 12, 1948 in Springfield, Missouri, she married Clarence Phillips. To this union four children were born. She is survived by her children, John Phillips, Judy Fugit, Steven Phillips and Lena Lozoyu; sister Emma Jean Baker of Carrollton, MO; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence 'Dusty' Phillips, infant daughter Janet Phillips, parents and two brothers. Private Family Services will be held.
