EDNA MAE (BISHOP) MALCOM RICE

96, passed away on March 5, 2016. She was born November 23, 1919, in rural Barton County, Missouri to Jasper Albert Bishop and Bertha Mae (Woody) Bishop. Edna was a cook for the Wichita Public Schools USD 259. On October 24, 1936 in Lamar, Missouri she married Clyde Alfred Malcom. To this union were five children. Edna married Chester A. Rice on October 6, 1981 in Wichita, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, sons Floyd Ray Malcom and Harvey Dale Malcom, and her grandson Brian Thomas. She is survived by her children Russell (MaryAnn) Malcom of Wichita, Larry (Karen) Malcom of Haysville, and Nancy (David) Pickert of Kansas City, Missouri; 17 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation 5-6 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 10 at Dunnegan Grove Cemetery, Sheldon, Missouri.
