Edna Minerva (Martin) Hazen, 72, retired SRS Family Service passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. She was born in Welda, Kansas to Wilson Marion Martin and Christie Ann (Brubaker) Martin. She was a graduate of Welda High School and Wichita State University. Edna is survived by her children Patrick Okonkwo of South Dakota, Caroline Hazen of Wichita and Nanetta Okonkwo of California; granddaughter Hannah Roschewski of Idaho; brothers, Frank (Betty) Martin of Texas, George (Sadie) Martin of Park City, Ks, Edgar Martin of Colorado and Kenneth (Frieda) Martin of Baldwin, Ks; sisters Lola Amend of Lyons, Ks, Velma Pretzer of Garnett, Ks, Elsie Menefee of Lyons, Ks, Ella (Richard) Thacker of Lecompton, Ks, Marietta Martin of Wichita, Ks and Sarah Hartpence of Texas; 30 nephew and nieces, many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Harold Martin. Service 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 8, at Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 401 N. Westlink, Wichita.
