Kester, Dwain O
., 87, retired retail and wholesale auto dealer, beloved brother, uncle and friend, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2015, in his home in Wichita after a short illness of lung and brain cancer. Dwain was born in Smallett, Missouri on May 25, 1928, son of Cecil Raymond Kester and Hazel Beulah (Nave) Kester. He was a 1946 graduate from Ava High School, Ava, Missouri. After graduation he served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He married Garnett Baumeister in January, 1954, and they resided in Wichita their entire married life. Garnette preceded him in death in 2011. He is also preceded in death by his mother Hazel in 1977, father Cecil in 1992 and brother-in-law Leonard Baumeister in 2015. He is survived by his brother Donald Gene and Betsy Kester of Ozark, Missouri; nephew Danny Kester of Springfield, Missouri; nieces Laura and Ed Bowles of Ozark, Missouri, Linda and Kenny Rogers of Nixa, Missouri and Meri and Scott Fultz of Nashville, Tennessee; great nephews Braden Kester, Jordan Bowles and Logan Bowles; great niece Sara Bowles; great-great nephews Evan Kester and Owen Bowles; very special friend Janice Dean; many relatives and lifelong friends.
