DOYLE "EDDIE"
HARMON, JR
Jan 5, 1957 — Aug 15, 2026
WALTON, KS
Doyle Edward "Eddie" Harmon Jr. was born on January 5, 1957, in Wichita, Kansas, to Doyle Harmon and Alma Elizabeth (Wright) Harmon. The oldest of three children, Eddie grew up alongside his sisters, Darla and Tammy. He graduated from Wichita Heights High School in 1975.
On November 21, 1980, Eddie married his beautiful wife, Sheri. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, hard work, and adventure. Eddie worked as a heavy equipment mechanic in the oil fields, a career that took him and Sheri to some of the most beautiful parts of the country. Wherever life took them, they made memories and found beauty along the way. Eddie was always happiest when surrounded by the people and things he loved.
He was an avid NASCAR fan and also enjoyed the excitement of dirt-track and drag-strip racing. His mechanical talent, generous spirit, and willingness to serve others were also reflected in the years he spent as a volunteer firefighter for the City of Sedgwick.
Above all, Eddie loved his family deeply. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a cherished brother, and a loyal friend. His steady presence, hardworking nature, and love for life will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Eddie is survived by his daughter, Crystal (Chris) Utter of Walton, their son Logan (Tia) and their daughter, Kaitlyn; his son, Casey (April) Harmon of North Newton, and their children, Addison, Brynn, and Everett; his daughter, Anna (Devin) Brown of Sedgwick, and their daughters, Stella and Madilynn; his sisters, Darla (Tim) Middlebrooks and Tammy (Gary) Denny. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sheri, his parents, Doyle and Alma Harmon; his father-in-law, Blaine Wright; and his brother-in-law, Russell Wright.
Eddie leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories and a legacy of love, devotion, and service. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he gave so freely will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
