Obituary

Douglas "Bo" Stanton Little Jr. , A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on July 25, 2020, in Sedgwick, Kansas, at the age of 71. He was born on August 30, 1948, in Okemah, OK, to Lenora Humble and Douglas Stanton Little Sr. He graduated in 1966 from Kirtland Central High School in New Mexico where he was a state football champion. Bo went into the Army in March of 1968 and was stationed in Fort Benning, Georgia. He served in the Vietnam war from September of 1968 to September of 1969. He received many commendations for his service including a National Defense Service Medal, an Army Commendation Medal, a Bronze Star Medal, and a Vietnam Service Medal with 2 bronze stars. Upon honorable discharge from the army in March 1971, Bo moved to the Wichita, KS area. He was a local route truck driver via different companies with Teamsters 795 for several years. In 1985, Bo married his wife, Rhonda Little, and the two remained happily wed for 35 years until his death. He went on to become an over the road truck driver, seeing most parts of the country, and he retired from trucking in 2008. Bo enjoyed cooking, fishing, visiting with friends, and spending time with his family.

Bo is survived by his wife, Rhonda Little; his children, Dariah Ballinger (Kenny), Jamie Burton (Tim), Stephanie Nutter (Chris), Jeff Little, Tina Storm (Richard), Clint Little, and Tim Little (Amber); his 14 grandchildren; brother, William "Bill" Little; sister, Gayla "Ty" Wind; and many other cousins, nephews, and nieces. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lenora Little; and his father, Douglas Stanton Little Sr. He will be deeply missed.

Viewing will be 5-7 pm Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. Service 10 am, Friday, July 31, 2020 at First Christian Church of Sedgwick, 514 N. Franklin, Sedgwick, Ks. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
