Dorothy Marie (Whitney) Kraus, 86, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to John Edel Whitney and Nettie Christine (Payne) Whitney. She is survived by her grandchildren, Becky Nettles, Scott Beal, Sammantha Slater Engbrock and Brydett Pitzer; step children Gary Kraus and Harold Kraus; many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother John E. Whitney, sister Alice M. Petersen, son Cliffton O. Butts and daughter Teresa L. Johnston. Services will be held 11:30 a.m., Thursday, January 8 at the College Hill Church of Christ in Mulvane, Kansas. Graveside will follow at the Mulvane Cemetery, 119 th and E. Greenwich, Mulvane, Kansas.
