Doris Lorene (Bailey) Hobson , 89, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away in Wichita, Kansas on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to Rella Charles Bailey and Edith Lorene (George) Bailey. Doris was a 1943 graduate of North High School, Wichita, Kansas. She worked at Beech Aircraft during World War II and NCR as a computer tech, among being a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved life, music, dancing and her family. She is survived by her daughters, Janice (Kenneth) Erwin, Patti Lagers and Cindy Robles, all of Valley Center; grandchildren Kenneth Erwin, Jr., Fred (Samatha) Erwin, Miranda Erwin, Rebecca (Rob) Griffin, Mark Oldham and Jonathan Oldham; great grandchildren Ashley Kisic, Emily Kisic, Renee Kisic, Tristan Erwin, Hunter Erwin, Ethin Erwin and Jurni Dodd; many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Fred Hobson, daughters Vicky Sue Hobson and Ginger D. Hobson, grandchildren Theresa Erwin and Jeremiah Kilpatrick, and her parents Rella and Edith Bailey. Pending Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 320 N. Sheridan, Valley Center. Baker Funeral Home Valley Center is handling arrangements.
