Downs, Doris Renaté (Hermes), 68, homemaker, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014. She was born in Rerik, Germany to Hienrich Hermes and Liselotte (Zeuch) Hermes. She is survived by her stepsons, Todd Downs of Wichita, Chad Downs of Bowie, MD and Troy (Amanda) Downs of Wichita; grandchildren, Ashton Downs, Brenden Downs, Tayden Downs and Kamden Downs; brother Horst and sister Christa, both of Germany; longtime friend Karin Schlesener. She is preceded by her husband Jerald L. Downs, parents Hienrich and Liselotte Hermes. Private Family Services. Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center, Kansas.
