Donna Kinkaid 85 met Jesus October 8, 2026.

Born Donna Darlene Jensen on August 10,1941; to Elmer and Mildred (Franz) Jensen near Kinsley, Kansas.

She graduated from Kinsley High School in 1959 and attended Fort Hays Kansas State College. She moved to Great Bend when she married Tom Kinkaid where they raised their three daughters. In 2005 they moved to Valley Center where she still lived.

Donna started piano lessons as a child and continued learning and playing the piano and the organ taking lessons through Barton County Community College. Donna loved playing piano/organ duets for church and for fun in her living room with her sisters and friends. Donna loved working on the farm and took pride in the whole process of working the soil, planting, and harvesting the crops.

She was a woman of faith, a devout believer and continued to study the Word of God. She served in the church for children’s programs and helped in making food for church dinners, She delivered Meals On Wheels for 20 years. She was the host for multitudes of family gatherings, she enjoyed preparing food and celebrating all of life's events. She enjoyed loving the grandchildren and the great grandchildren who always could find something fun at Grandma Donna’s. She was an avid reader and was still talking about books she needed to read while in the hospital.

Survivors include Daughters Christie Pence, Gina (Terry) Lyon, Sara (Ron) Hawkins; Grandchildren Haley, Abbie (Alex) Sweetman, Jeremy Miller, Christopher Lyon, Sydni Hawkins, and Reese Hawkins; Great grandchildren Averie, Theo, and Aspen. Sisters Linda (Bill) Walter and Denise (Dale) Fromm, And special companion of 10 Years Douglas Dwaine Westerfield. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she continued special relationships with.

Preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Tom, and brother Ronnie Jensen. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Valley Center Public Library in memory of Donna Kinkaid. Funeral Services will be held at New Hope Church at LaVenue 109 W. Main, Valley Center, Kansas 10 am Saturday, October 17th, 2026.
