Donald Lee Spencer 'Don' of Valley Center, 73, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020. He was born to Mickie Donald Spencer and Mary Jane (Myrtle) Spencer, the oldest of five children. Don was a lifetime resident of Valley Center and a 1965 Valley Center High School graduate.  After graduation he served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. Fifty years ago, Don married the love of his life, Melanie Spencer.  He retired from Boeing Aircraft after 27 years of service.

Don was preceded in death by his father.  Survivors include, wife, Melanie, son Jack (Lauren) Spencer, daughter Heather (Gary) Swift, mother, Mary J. Spencer, siblings, Linda Richter, Gordon (Helon) Spencer, Cherri (Randy) Engel and Mark (Kim) Spencer; grandchildren: Marijane, Jamie, Adele, and Max;  great grandchildren:  Alice and Jack.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be designated to Valley Center Christian Church, American Diabetes Association, American Stroke Association or Serenity Hospice Care.
