DONALD STANLEY MANLOVE , 84 years, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to James Harrison Manlove and Ethel (Lindley) Manlove. He was raised in Wichita where he attended schools and was a 1953 graduate of North High School. 1954 to 1957 he served in the United States Air Force. On June 16, 1957, in Russell, Kansas, he married the love of his life, Janet June (Bangert) Manlove. They moved to Olathe, Kansas then to Wichita. He worked and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Donald and Janet were longtime members of the Christ Lutheran Church being a part of many groups there including the Falcon Fellowship. He volunteered with the Olathe Jaycee's, Lion's Club, Red Cross, Botanica and traveled with Air Capitol Active People. After retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, bowling, volunteering and travelling. Yet his greatest time spent was with his children and grandchildren. Don is survived by his children, Cindy (Bob) Selby of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Brad Manlove of Wichita, Kansas, Mark (Holly) Manlove of Olathe, Kansas; grandchildren, Karli Manlove, Robert Selby, Breck Hatcher, Andrew Manlove, Jillian Manlove, Rachel Selby, Tyler Manlove and Harrison Manlove; great grandchildren, James Haun, Calland Novak and Braylee Novak; sisters Margaret Westerfield of Valley Center and Sylvia Miller of Wichita; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Janet Manlove, parents James and Ethel Manlove, and eight siblings.
Memorials may be designated in his memory to Christ Lutheran Church, 5356 N. Hillside, Wichita, Ks 67219 or to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, Ks 67202. Visitation 3-5 p.m., Sunday, December 16; and Service 11 a.m., Monday, December 17, both held at the Christ Lutheran Church, 5356 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas. Graveside following the service at the Andover Cemetery, Andover, Kansas. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
