Donald “Don” L. Fike, age 86, passed away on September 15th, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born in rural Courtland, Kansas to John W. and Esther (Hansen) Fike. He graduated from Courtland High School in 1957 and then served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962, playing on their basketball team. He later graduated from Fort Hays State University in 1970 with his Bachelor's degree in business.

He was a lifelong resident of Wichita, Kansas working in several different industries such as aircraft, commercial cleaning and hospital food service in Wichita. For a very brief time, he worked at Nike in Oregon.

He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for many years and enjoyed leading and attending various Bible studies as well as volunteering in AWANA. He had a great love for Jesus and witnessing for Christ.

He loved being a fun uncle to Debbie and Delcie and bringing them fancy wrapped gifts such as Go Go boots and Debbie's first Beatles album. He also really enjoyed sports and especially followed Kansas State football and basketball.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Eldon Fike; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survived by sister Darlene Fike of Gresham, OR; cousins Anita Nelson, JoAnn (Ray) Newman and Kenny (Deanna) Nelson; nieces Debbie (Armand) Chavanelle of Tucson, AZ and Delcie (Roger) Malcom of Valley Center, KS; great-niece Andrea Noffsinger of Wichita, KS; great-nephews Brandon (Ginny) Noffsinger of Jamesport, MO and Triston (Tasha) Malcom of Sedgwick, KS; great-great nephews and nieces Bentley, Oliver and Cora Noffsinger; Trace, Trisha and Tianna Malcom.

He has been laid to rest at Ada Lutheran Church Cemetery.
