Kutilek, Donald Lewis
, 89, retired Cattle Order Buyer and Commodity Broker, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 15, 2015. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Frank James Kutilek and Louise (Kopecky) Kutilek. Don was a 1943 graduate of North High School, Wichita, Kansas. He continued his education at Kansas State University in Animal Husbandry. He was a U.S. Navy and World War II Veteran. He married the love of his life Bonnie Lee (Osborn) Kutilek. He loved his family and being an avid baseball fan, he passed on the joy of watching the Kansas City Royals to them also. He was an avid Optimist Club member also. Don was a very gifted and talented musician and pianist with one of his favorite tunes being "I Did It My Way". He is survived by children Jill Goseland, Jan (Dick) Watson, Jeff Kutilek and Joe (Dana) Kutilek; grandchildren Tony (Borey) Baldassarre, Andy (Marie) Baldassarre, Jay Kutilek, Jesse Kutilek and Justin Kutilek; great grandchildren Lily and Liam Baldassarre; brother Frank Kutilek. He is preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Kutilek, grandsons Rusty Goseland and Kody Kutilek, parents Frank and Louise Kutilek.
Services
will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 20 at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Inurnment will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita, Kansas.
