Newton, Kansas - Donald Erwin Eberhardt Jr slipped quietly away from 'the surly bonds of earth' in the early hours of May 25, 2025, in Newton, Kansas, following a lengthy illness.

Don was a Wichita Union Terminal towerman.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Don and Melba, and sister Martha; he is survived by two sisters, Betty (Hugh) Bell, and Caroline, both of Wichita.

Per his wishes, there will be no services; memorials in his name can be sent to Harry Hines Memorial Hospice, Wichita.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Paramount Community Living, Newton, for Don's care.
