Donald Francis Dufield, age 91, peacefully left us to be with the Lord on December 8, 2018 at the Reflection Ridge Retirement Community in Wichita, KS.

He was born on the Dufield Farm located outside Kismet, KS on 30 June 1927 to Frank and Thelma (Lepper) Dufield and was the second of 5 children.  Donald graduated from the Kismet High School in 1948 and promptly started work at the Northern Natural Gas Company and retired after 37 years of service.  He was married in Fowler, KS to his beloved wife of 61 years, Patricia Irene (Lynde) Dufield on 18 August 1957.  He enjoyed helping his community with daily home repairs and was known as a Jack-of-all-Trades!!  He used his gifted hands to make jewelry, polish rocks, create beautiful award winning oil paintings, gardening, and fix appliances.  Donald was an electrician, a mechanic, a woodsmith, a builder, owner of Dufield's General Repairs, and so much more.  In his spare time, he taught his children how to hunt, fish, camp, and the importance of God.  He was a Godly man who enjoyed church and being with fellow Christians.  He has lived a complete and full life.

Donald was preceded in death by his father Frank, mother Thelma, brother Walter, and sisters Betty Black and Twila Kaberlein.  He is survived by his wife Patricia, his five children, Donald, Steven, Kenneth, Kathy Kessler, and Robert, and his sister Shirley Herman, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Meade, Kansas.  Cremation has taken place in accordance to his request.

In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome memorials to the Emmanuel Mennonite Church located at 415 East Green Street, Meade, KS  67864.
