Diane Elizabeth Mitchell, 75, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 in Augusta, Kansas.  She was born in Eldorado, Kansas to Barbara (Morledge) and Glen Mitchell.  She attended school in Miltonvale, Walton and Cassoday KS during her grade school years and graduated from Wichita Heights High School. Diane was alway a good athlete, playing basketball during school years and softball during the summer in Wichita leagues.  She did secretarial work for a while, then worked at St. Francis hospital as a nurse's aide, later advancing to a unit clerk.  After leaving the medical field, she worked at Boeing and was chosen Outstanding Employee in 1991.

Diane was baptized at and joined Bethel Presbyterian Church.  She later joined Central Christian Community Church, both in Wichita, Ks.  Diane enjoyed family get togethers, cross stitching, reading, camping, treasure hunting at flea markets and estate sales, camping, and even a rattlesnake hunt or two.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends.  Diane will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and quick wit.  She loved to laugh, dance and be the life of the party. She was always quick to give a hug and a smile when she saw you.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Glen Mitchell, brother, Alan Kirk Mitchell, and her daughter, Heather Belle Mitchell.

She is survived by her sons, Shawn Lash of Eloy, Arizona and Jeff Lash of Wichita, Ks.  She is blessed with 6 grandsons, Seth Lash, Aron Lash, Forrester Lash, Timothy Lash, Ashton Sanpaka, Tanner Parscal and 1 granddaughter, Kristen Lash. Her legacy continues to grow with 5 great grandchildren.  Also, brothers, Steve Mitchell of Wichita, Ks and Tim Mitchell (Julie) of Kansas City, Missouri. She also is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews. She will be missed by many.

Memorial Services will be set for the spring.
