Diane Kay (Slater) McConnell , 77, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 2 ^nd , 2021 in Valley Center, Kansas. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on December 19 ^th , 1943. She was a long-time resident of Valley Center, and retired from Leeker's Family Foods.

She enjoyed taking care of her dogs, church activities, gardening, and spending time with her family. She loved the Lord with all her heart and treasured each day as a gift.

Preceded in death by parents Lewis and Margaret Slater, and husband Mike. Survived by daughter Cheryl (Tom) Bade, Valley Center; sister Linda Tice, Greenville TX; 2 grandchildren Brian Bade, Ashlee Brown; 4 great grandchildren Hunter, Chevy, Colton, and Claire.

Service 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 7 at LifePoint Church, 400 S. Abilene, Valley Center, Kansas.  Graveside following at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.
