Dennis L. Newfer's Obituary
KAW CITY, OKLAHOMA
DENNIS LEE NEWFER,
74, formerly of Wichita, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017. He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Alvin Lloyd and Freida Laverne Newfer. He was a graduate of Ponca Military Academy, Ponca City, Oklahoma. After graduation he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War receiving a Purple Heart. Dennis retired after many years at Newfer Photo Shop in Wichita, Kansas. He is survived by his wife Clara Newfer; children, Lisa (Steve) Dike, Lori (Eddie) Sheen and Dennis (Denise) Newfer; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; sister Loy Deane (Sam) Sirkin; many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Leah German, parents Alvin Newfer and Freida Roth. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 15, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center, Kansas.
