Darlene Kay Curtis, age 74 of Maize, Kansas passed away on Sunday, August 10th, 2025.  She was born Wednesday, January 17, 1951 in Portland, Oregon to Harold Werner and Opal (Courtney) Werner.  Darlene met the love of her life, James Harry Curtis, and married October 22, 1966.

She enjoyed cooking for her family and whenever she was needed to cook. She was gifted doing crafts and made everyone she knew a baby blanket that needed one.  She loved to crochet, sew, paint ceramics and so much more.

She is preceded in death by her parents Harold Werner and Opal Bailey, both sisters and husband of 57 yrs, James Curtis.

Darlene will be placed by her husband James on Friday, August 22 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
