Dalena Shaune
Presley
June 29, 2020
Dalena Shaune Presley, age 57, passed away peacefully on June 29th, 2020, due to lung and pancreatic cancer. She was born December 12th, 1962 in Harrison, Arkansas to Dale Presley and LaMerle (Prindle) Dillinger . Shaune grew up in Pittsburg, KS but also spend time in Oklahoma and Arkansas. She loved the Ozarks. For many years, Shaune worked as a EMT in Mountain Home, AR and as CNA/CMA at various locations in Pittsburg, KS. It suited her desire to help others when they needed it most.
Shaune was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She treasured her children and the time she spent with each of them. She especially loved her role as grandma. She had a vivacious personality and loved to laugh often. Shaune loved to love on people and animals alike. She would say some days she preferred her animals more. She loved to drink coffee while watching a storm roll in and may have been an amateur storm chaser if given the chance. She took pride in giving her advice and love freely to those who wanted to listen and sometimes when they didn't. She was gifted with a green thumb and her plants thanked her for it. She loved to explore and search out "new" creek beds, rivers and lakes. She showed her love most often by cooking and preparing her favorite meals for family and friends such spaghetti, potato soup, potatoes and sausage, and world class biscuit and sausage gravy.
Shaune will be sorely missed and is survived by her sister, Tori S. Presley, mother, LaMerle Dillinger, father, Dale Presley and life partner Kenneth R. Mason, Jr.; her son Marley Dowell and his wife Amber Dowell, her son, Chris Finster, and her daughter, Gracee T. Presley-Stancer and her husband James 'Lee' Stancer; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Shannon Presley. All of these she loved and touched deeply. All whom loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace (when pertinent) and undying love and caring for them.
