Cynthia Diane (Underwood) Russell-Armstead, 77 yrs old of Valley Center, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas.  She was born in Carthage, Missouri to Frederick Delbert Underwood and Patricia Joan (Burton) Underwood.  She was a lifelong resident of Wichita, Kansas where she attended  schools through Heights High School. After graduation she worked with her husband in their restaurant and bar.

Cynthia loved her flower gardens, loved riding her horses, and taking care of her critters, including Harley her pot belly pig, chickens, all her precious dogs she loved down through the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred & Joan Underwood, husbands Glaine Russell and Ned Armstead, her nephew Fred Underwood, Jr.

Cynthia is survived by her brother Fred Underwood and his wife Marty, nieces Cynthia Marie Tosh and Elizabeth Underwood,  other family and close dear friends.
