Strodtman, Cynthia Janelle (Cromer), 54, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016. She was born in Nashville, Kansas to Samuel Doyle Cromer and Loretta Gloria (Mosher) Cromer. She was a graduate of Pratt Skyline High School, Pratt, Kansas. She married the love of her life, Gary Strodtman in Pratt, Kansas on January 5, 1980. Cindy received her Teaching Degrees from Newman and Baker University where she also received her Master's Degree. She had a passion for helping others and her character was an inspiration. She was a Teaching Specialist at Jackson Elementary, Wichita. Cindy is survived by her husband Gary; sons Justin Strodtman of Valley Center and Cody Strodtman of Portland, Oregon; sister Robin Dietz of Olathe; parents-in-law W. Gary and Bonnie Strodtman of Hutchinson; nieces, nephews, other family, students and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Loretta Cromer, brothers Gary Don and Douglas Brett Cromer. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Valley Center Christian Church, 1801 E. Fifth, Valley Center. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be designated to Jackson Elementary School, c/o Kamiel Evans, 2717 N. Woodlawn, Wichita, Kansas 67220. In accordance with her wishes, her remains were cremated. A private memorial will take place at Ellenwood Cemetery, Sawyer, Kansas at a future date. Baker Funeral Home Valley Center has charge.
