Cynthia Anne Ducey, passed away on October 31, 2024 (Halloween). She was a new resident of Marion Kansas. She was born in Dayton Ohio to Dr. Jimmy L. Ducey D.O. and Harriet (Lindsey) Ducey. She attended grade school in Wellsville, Kansas. Her family moved to Valley Center, Kansas where she attended Valley Center schools. She graduated from Wichita High School East. After graduation she went to Wichita State University, then nursing school where she received her LPN and RN . She was an ER Nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita Kansas.

Cindy was rich in friendships, she had friends from grade school, middle school, high school and everywhere she went. She loved animals. She showed and raised horses from the time she was young.

She was married to Daryl Wacker for a few years, they divorced, and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her mother Harriet (who also loved and raised horses), and her father.

Cindy is survived by her brother Jimmy, her aunt Vicky Bayless, her cousins Stacy and Marsha Bayless, and her cousins Robert and Lindsey Triplett. Also by hundreds of friends.

A gathering of friends was held Sunday, November 10.

Service will be 11 am, Tuesday, November 12 at Baker Funeral Home Chapel, 100 S Cedar, Valley Center, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in her memory to The Valley Equine Rescue & Sanctuary, 9025 N. Broadway, Valley Center, Kansas 67147.
