Obituary

Curtis Oran Garvey, 68, of Bentley, Kansas passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025 in Wichita. He was born November 11, in Wichita, Kansas to Jack O. Garvey and Mary (Hilton) Garvey. He was an amazing Cabinet Maker in the aircraft business for many years.  His woodworking skills carried over to many other areas of his life where he could make furniture and crafts.  He also enjoyed rocks, gems and mineral shows learning the skills of polishing rocks with astonishing results. He was the family documentary person with photos and videoing so many events. Curtis growing up in the 70's loved the classics that started with Pink Floyd, Niel Young, Jimmy Hendricks, Kansas and so many more. He enjoyed yard work, Kansas City football and most importantly time with his family when possible.

He is preceded by his parents Jack and Mary Garvey.  Curtis is survived by his brother Douglas Garvey of Bentley and his sister Ramona Garvey of Conway, AR; nieces and nephews: Heather Gerstner (Patrick) of Bentley KS, Tracie Morgan (Bill), Jeff Souter (Crystal) of Cranston RI, Emily Jackson (Caleb) of Conway AR, Jack Souter, Lucas Gerstner and Merrick Gerstner; other family and friends.

Graveside service will be held 12:00 pm (noon), Saturday, November 22, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery,  W. 109th St N., Bentley, Kansas with Pastor Paul Wulff officiating.
