Cristy Lynn Pitts, a beloved resident of Bentley, Kansas, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on December 3, 1952, in Oakland, Nebraska, Cristy was a beacon of kindness and faith throughout her life.

Cristy married the love of her life, Dan Pitts, on April 25, 1969. Together, they built a loving family and shared a life filled with faith and joy. A dedicated mother and grandmother, Cristy always prioritized her family, providing a nurturing home filled with warmth and laughter.

Her professional life was marked by her work as a certified dietary manager, where she brought her caring nature to ensure the well-being of others. Cristy also had a passion for music, competing nationally in Sweet Adeline's barbershop choir and quartet. Her harmonious spirit and dedication to her craft brought joy to many.

Cristy's Christian faith was the foundation of her life. She was deeply involved in her church community, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Her giving nature and compassionate heart were a testament to her strong beliefs and the love she had for those around her.

Cristy was preceded in death by her parents, Dorance T. and Vonda Richardson, her brother Eugene Richardson, her sister Kayla Winters, and her beloved sons, Casey and Scotty Pitts. She is survived by her sons, Clint (Risa) and Jesse (Stefani) Pitts, grandsons Ryan, Devon and Lane as well as three great granddaughters and her sister, Marla Hooper. Cristy's legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

As we remember Cristy, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, music, and faith. Her generous spirit and unwavering dedication to her family and community will be missed but never forgotten.

A gathering to celebrate Cristy's life will be held at LeVenue reception hall, located at 109 W. Main Street, Valley Center, KS 67147 on Thursday, May 29th from 5-7pm. We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering the laughter, love, and legacy Cristy leaves behind.
