MCPHERSON, KANSAS
Connie J. (Powell) Wells
, 81, of McPherson, formerly of Valley Center, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2017. She was born in Kennett, Missouri to Cad James and Mildred (Rudder) James. She owned and operated 'Connie's Beauty Shop'. On September 7, 1984 she married Sanford L. Wells in Salina, Kansas. She is survived by her children Robert W. Powell II (Carmie) of Plat City, Florida, Hollie Fox of Omaha, Nebraska, Tracy Forsbert (Ken) of McPherson, Kansas, Matthew Powell (Karen) of Parkville, MD; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; brothers Don James of Oklahoma, Randy James of Texas; sisters Carolyn Moore of Texas, Beth Hawkins of Florida and Rene Phares of California; other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 23 at The Cedars House, 803 N. Maxwell, McPherson.
