Connie Marie Silva, 80 yrs, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.  She was born in Wichita, Kansas to Richard Dean Mackenzie and Verla Marie (Kinder) Mackenzie.  She was a lifetime resident of Wichita where she attended school, married and raised her family. She enjoyed working at Furrs Cafeteria where she retired after 23 years of serving others as a cashier.

Connie liked to bowl, do word puzzles, listen to country music, watch game shows including her favorite of Super Market Sweep.  Her greatest love was doing things for her family and spending time with them.

She is preceded in death by her parents Richard Mackenzie and Verla Smith, her husband Rafael Silva, daughter Pamela Batemon, sister Sharon Walker and brother Billy Mackenzie.

Connie is survived by her sons John Batemon (Kim), Michael Batemon (Margaret), David Batemon (Tammie) and Tony Silva (Makayla); daughters Diana Neuway (Greg), Wanda Archuleta (Albert) Tammy Fitzgerald (Maurice), Sheila Soto, and Terri Mehringer (Jonathan); brothers Rick and Ronald, sisters Rosemary and Linda; 28 grandkids and 58 great grandkids; many other family and friends.

Services are 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 21 at Baker Funeral Home Chapel, Valley Center.  Graveside will follow with Homegoing Escorts processional to White Chapel Cemetery, 1806 N. Oliver, Wichita, Kansas.
