CLEO ELLEN (SIVILS) OLIPHINT , 78, passed away September 1, 2017. She was born in Arlington, Kansas to William Delaney Sivils and Willa Mae (Arnold) Sivils. She was a graduate of Arlington High School. She was a cosmetologist in Arlington and Dodge City, Kansas and then moved to Amarillo, Texas where she retired as a Travel Agent. On May 16, 1980 in Dodge City, Kansas she married 'Bud' V. H. Oliphint. He precedes her in death. She is also preceded by her parents Bill and Willa Sivils, sisters Dona Kaufman, Lois Guthrie and Willena Lander. Cleo loved travelling, enjoyed lottery tickets and gambling on occasion. Most importantly was her love for her family and spending time with them. She is survived by her children Jacque (Don) Avila of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Rob Anderson of Arlington, Kansas, stepdaughter Erin (Gary) Vaughn of Amarillo, Texas, four stepsons and their families; grandchildren Robby, Dakota, Beau, Abbie and Aubrie; sister Mary (Bill) Kempton of Eureka, California; brothers Arnold Sivils of Kearney, Nebraska and Kenneth (Ernestine) Sivils of Nickerson, Kansas; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A special thank you to Phoenix hospice staff and nurses for their professional and loving care of our Mother. Memorials may be designated in her memory to Phoenix Hospice, 3450 N. Rock Rd, Wichita, Ks 67226. Service 2 p.m., Thursday, September 7, at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center. Private family burial will be held at the Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, Kansas.
