Nicholson, Claud Russell "Pete", 87, retired Santa Fe Railroad and Construction worker, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Maize, Kansas to Gordon Mason Nicholson and Mary 'Agnes' (McCoy) Nicholson. He was a 1945 graduate of Maize High School. On February 27, 1954 he married the love of his life, Nadene. Claud loved being with his family enjoying all the activities and travels to their cabin. He is survived by his wife Nadene of the home; children Russel Nicholson and wife Thanh Nguyen, Teresa Nicholson and Dick Nicholson, all of Maize; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Agnes Nicholson, brothers Francis Merle Nicholson, Gordon Jr Nicholson, Duane Lewis Nicholson and sister Thelma Jean Castle. Services will be hold 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 4, at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Graveside will be held at Maize Park Cemetery, Maize, Kansas.
