Cheryl (Dixon) Hare, 68, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024. She was born on November 7th, 1956, in Wichita, Kansas to Joan (Musick) Balzer and Johnny Dixon. She attended Cheney High School. She spent most of her career as an optician and a caregiver. She enjoyed fishing, playing games, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Joan Balzer, step-father Malcom "Tom" Balzer, and father Johnny Dixon.
Cheryl is survived by her children, Mandi Hollis, Shelly Bloesser, Sherri Rader, and Ralyn Brockman; grandchildren, Tyler Hollis, Brianna Hollis, Eli Hollis, Tori Hollis, Kiersten Owens, Alyssa Camp, Landon Rader, Brooke Rader, Wyatt Rader, Zaniah Cooper, Ohana Cooper, Ozara Cooper; great grandchildren, Scarlett Owens, Walker Camp, Emmarosa Hollis, Rory Hollis; and siblings, Bruce Dixon, Cynthia Gibson, Susan Hageman, Brian Balzer, and Chris Balzer.
Cheryl's daughters have made the decision to honor her privately. Per her wishes, we will not be holding a traditional funeral service. You're invited to honor her in your own way, or you may opt to make a donation in her memory to Wichita Family Crisis Center, www.wichitafamilycrisiscenter.org .
