Cheryl Denise (Herron) Bolt , 61, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 after several battles with cancer. She was born November 11, 1954 to Jack and Yvonne (Alloway) Herron Sr. in Fort Meade, Maryland. She graduated high school in 1972 from Valley Center High School and made Wichita her home. She spent 31 years in a job that she loved, as the Facilities Assistant for Heartspring (formally The Institute of Logopedics). She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Yvonne Herron Sr. and a nephew, James C Gardner. She is survived by the love of her life, Gene Bolt Sr of Wichita, daughter, Heather (David) Smith of Wichita, sons, Chris (Shannon) Wolley of Valley Center, and Gene (Chalice) Bolt Jr of Wichita, sister, Faith Dawson of Valley Center, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews. Service 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29 at the Valley Center Christian Church, 1801 E. Fifth N., Valley Center.
