Charles Peter "HONEYBUN" Yaverski
, 86, of Kechi, Kansas. He was a Korean War Veteran, mechanic, Learjet Field Service Rep and Flight Safety Instructor. He peacefully entered eternal rest in his sleep at home on the morning of Thursday, January 12, 2017. He was born on September 3, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois. Chuck was raised by his grandparents, Alice and Frank Jaworski (Yaverski) in Duryea, Pennsylvania. While in the Air Force, he was stationed at McConnell AFB where he met Roberta Ann Pursell his wife of 57 years. Chuck was known by his pranks and his mechanical expertise. He is survived by his daughters Linda Jesseph and Katheryne Moneyhun both of Wichita and Melissa (Dean) Rosenquist of Cocoa Beach, Florida; grandchildren Christopher (Christina) Yaverski, Jaclyn (Javier) Linares of Wichita, Gunnar and Reese Rosenquist, both at home in Cocoa Beach, Florida; four great-grandchildren; many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Clara and his wife Roberta. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Church of the Resurrection, 4910 N.
