Sprout, Charles "Chic" Joseph, 81, retired Aircraft Inspector, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015. He was born in Doland, South Dakota to Joe Dillon Sprout and Veronica "Verna" Cleona (Becker) Sprout. Charles grew up in Fulton, Missouri and graduated from Fulton High School. While in High School he met his future bride, Lois Jean Marble. They were married June 30, 1952. He entered his military service January 3, 1953 till February 12, 1957. He was a U.S. Air Force and Korean War Veteran. He and his wife Lois Jean, settled in Haysville, KS in 1957 while he was stationed at McConnell Air Force Base.  Their 6 children were raised in Haysville. He joined the Knights of Columbus and became a 4th Degree Knight.  Charles was known to some as 'Chic', 'Charlie' and Charles.  He worked as an Aircraft Inspector at Boeing Co and Gates-LearJet.  Charles and Lois moved to California City, CA in 1984 when Boeing transferred him to Edwards Air Force Base near Lancaster, CA.  In 1995 he retired and remained in Cal City, Lois passed away in 1997 and is buried at the Cal City Memorial Park where Charles will also be laid to rest.

Charles is survived by his sister Cleona Rhea Vandruff; 5 children , 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 14 nieces and nephews.
