Catherine (Spencer) Hazen, 87, beloved mom, grandma, sister and homemaker, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014. She was born in Newton, Kansas to Alfred Maynard Spencer and Ura Blanche (Buck) Spencer. She was a 1945 graduate of Valley Center High School. She loved her family and also was a Boys Scout Den mother. She is survived by her sons Leslie Hazen of Nowata, OK, Galen (Jan) Hazen of Plano, TX and Harvey Hazen of Valley Center; daughters Carolyn Hazen of Valley Center and Christine Rahnamai of Enfield, CT; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; sister Deborah Kelly of Wichita; sister-in-law Mary Jane Spencer of Valley Center; many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Hazen, parents Maynard and Blanche Spencer, brothers Mack Spencer and Mickey Spencer. Memorials may be designated to the Alzheimer's Association, 347 Laura, Wichita, Ks 67211.

Visitation 10:00 and Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 528 W. 5 ^th St, Valley Center.
