Carolyn Jolene Hazen, 67, of Wichita, passed away November 3, 2019. She grew up in Valley Center, Kansas, having to put up with three ornery brothers until a younger sister arrived to join the battle. She was a graduate of Valley Center High School. A graduate of Wichita State University with a degree in graphical arts, she applied her artistic talents to paint landscapes, portraits, still lifes, and expanded her repertoire to include airbrush and micro pen and ink. She followed the styles of the Dutch Masters including Albrecht Dürer. A certified massage therapist, she gave the best massages and willingly practiced on her grateful friends and family. She loved helping people, enjoyed telling jokes, and had an infectious laugh. She was known to be generous with her time, her money, and her love. In the last few years of her life, she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints and made many friends in her Ward. She will be sorely missed.
