WICHITA
Nelson, Carole Dawn, 73, retired Greene Vision Administrative Assistant, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012. She was born in Rosalie, Nebraska to C. Gunnar Nelson and Ione (Wachter) Nelson.

She is survived by her husband, Wes Nelson; children, Wendy (Alan) Smith of Wichita, Shelley (Larry) Simmons of Bedford, Tx, Jody Nelson of Wichita; grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Alex Smith, Jennifer Smith, Lane Simmons, Cody Simmons; mother, Ione Nelson of Nebraska City, NE; sisters, Linda (Don) Young of Dallas, Tx, Colleen (Leroy) Kenan of Omaha, NE; brothers, Randy (Kathy) Nelson of Omaha, NE and Roger (Diane) Nelson of Rosalie, NE; nine nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Gunnar Nelson.

Visitation, 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, October 31, at Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center. Service, 11 a.m., Thursday, November 1, at Christ Lutheran Church, Wichita. Private Family burial at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. Memorials may be designated to Christ Lutheran Church, 5356 N. Hillside, Wichita, Ks 67219.
