CAROL  SUE  (OAKES) SPILLMAN , 79, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  She was born in Fort Scott, Kansas to Calvin and Gladys (Dunnsworth) Oakes. On June 30, 1962 in Mulvane, Kansas she married Franklin Udell Spillman. Carol worked as a unit clerk at St Francis Hospital in Wichita; then for many years was a cook at the Valley Center Jr. High School. She was a longtime resident of Valley Center and member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, games with friends, cooking for others, and anything she could do to help friends, family and church family. She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin, son Stephen, parents Calvin Oakes, Gladys and Earl Knox. Carol is survived by her children Donald (Athena) Spillman, Michael (Ailene) Spillman, Derrin (Kristina) Spillman, Tracy Spillman; 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; many other family and friends.

Service is 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 7, at the Calvary Baptist Church, 320 N. Sheridan, Valley Center, Kansas with visitation from 12 to 1. Graveside will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery, 6231 W. 47 ^th St. S., Wichita, Kansas. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com .
