Sorensen, Carol Lynn (Bjostad) , 64, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015. She was born in Butte, Montana to Donald A. Bjostad and Erline E. (Ostedt) Bjostad. She was a graduate of West High School, Wichita, Kansas. She worked as a secretary for 10 years at the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks in Wichita and then 8 years as a Comfort Care Patient Transport Driver. She enjoyed reading, bird watching, cooking, interacting with her transport patients and being with her grandchildren. Carol is survived by her husband, Steven; daughter Shandra (Matt) Robb and children Alexis, Korvin and Xander of Wichita; son Bryan (Arin) Sorensen and children Bryson and Blayne of Concordia; sisters Kay Thacker of Arkansas, Victoria (Rick) Goff of Haysville, Gwenn Van Scyoc of Topeka, Susan (Donald) Bough of Wichita; sisters-in-law Deb Sorensen of Cherokee, Iowa and Pat (Steven) Engle of Kingsley, Iowa; 20 nieces and nephews and 30 great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Don and Erline Bjostad and brothers Leslie (Bo) and Bruce.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in her name to Habitat for Humanity at 420 E. English, Wichita, Ks 67202 or the Kansas Wildlife Federation, P.O. Box 771282, Wichita, Ks 67277-1282. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 29 at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center. Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 30 at Christ Lutheran Church, 5356 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas.
