CAROL  ANN  (SCHWEER)  REFFNER , 84, entered into rest on Friday, May 17, 2019. She was born in Mount Hope, Kansas to Sherman George Schweer and Alice Mae (Murphy) Schweer. She attended Valley Schools and graduated from Valley Center High School in 1952. She married the love of her life, Edward Charles Reffner in 1953.  Carol worked as the Valley Center City Clerk and retired as City Administrator. She loved her family deeply and always enjoyed supporting her children at all their activities they were involved in. She continued that loving support with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She absolutely loved family gatherings, spending time with grandchildren, gardening and working with flowers.

She is preceded by her husband of 64 years, Edward Reffner, and her parents George and Alice Schweer.

Carol is survived by her children Steve Reffner, Dianna Wirths (James) and Sheri Doolen; grandchildren, Jason Reffner (Julie), Lisa Clubb (Anthony), Jarod Reffner (Erin), Douglas Doolen (Kelli), Sarah Torrance (Scott), and Gregory Doolen; step grandchildren, Mike Wirths and Renee Frisk (Keith); 12 great grandchildren: Jonas, Jasper, Jesse, Jude, Aden, Bryce, Emily, Evan, Easton, Sawyer, Maxwell, and Lucas; 3 step great grandchildren Megan, Kylie, and Greysin; sister-in-law Kay Anderson and brother-in-law George Reffner; many other family and friends.

Visitation 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, May 21; Service 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, both held at Baker Funeral Home Valley Center, Kansas. Graveside following at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Bentley. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com
