Carol Mae (Finkbiner) Dauksch, 73, retired U.S.D. 259 Cook, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014. She was born in Clifton, Kansas to Elmer Finkbiner, Sr. and Margaret (Long) Finkbiner. In Clifton, Kansas, on May 15, 1971, she married the love of her life Frank C. Dauksch. She worked as a key puncher at Southwestern Bell, then was with the School District for 15 years before retirement. Carol is survived by her husband Frank; daughter Felicia (Steve) Mayer of Wichita; grandchildren, Zachery, Abigail, Katherine, Daniel, Saranne and William; brother Elmer (Tanis) Finkbiner, Jr of Clifton; sister Marj (Steve) Pfister of Manhattan. She is preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Mel Newman, sister Joanne DesCoteaux, brothers Carl, John and Robert Finkbiner.
Rosary 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 25, Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, both at St. Jude Catholic Church, 3030 N. Amidon, Wichita, Ks. A Rosary 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 27, will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 213 Clifton St., Clifton, Kansas. Burial following the service at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, N. Eagle Rd, Clifton, Kansas. Memorials may be designated to the St. Jude Catholic Church, 3030 N. Amidon, Wichita, Ks 67204. Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, Valley Center.
